Patient Stories

Dr.Mugrabi Clinic’s Patients share their experiences before and after bunion correction surgery.

Bunion (Hallux Valgus) Surgery | Ms. Ajda

I have hallux valves in both feet, but I didn’t face with any problems or pain about it until this thing called Morton Neuroma showed up. I guess because I have splayfeet, threw was always compression.

It’s a very distressing thing indeed. It’s okay when I don’t have a shoe on my foot, but I couldn’t really take 5000-6000 steps when I put on my shoes. I wanted to get it gone before it is too late.

After surgery, I like it very much. I always wore those 1 and a half size big shoes to make those parts fit into the shoes. My feet always looked big, now I looked at them and said that my feet were not that big actually.

Bunion (Hallux Valgus) Surgery | Selda Albayrak

I had Hallux Valgus and Hammer-Toe surgery in 2019. For about 10 years previously from the surgery, there was as situation where I had difficulty in walking along with the limitation of movement.

Although I prefer orthopedic, soft-soled shoes that do not squeeze my feet as possible, these complaints started to increase.

In my social life, I had almost zero chance of choosing open shoes or slippers that I liked, because they look so ugly. I was choosing close wide-toed sneakers as much as possible. This actually made me very unhappy.

This type of surgeries are difficult and major surgeries. I think it is very important to find trustable and the right person. In this sense. Mr. Selim and his assistant Ms. Bahar really gave me confidence in this matter.

It was very well planned and progressed. Mr. Selim and Ms. Bahar told me what to expect step by step.
